WASHINGTON, D.C. – Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) Managing Director Heather Reams released the following statement regarding the FY2019 Energy and Water Appropriations Conference Report.
“Support for energy innovation to develop needed clean energy technologies ignites economic growth, protects our national security and creates good paying jobs for Americans across the country,” said CRES Managing Director Heather Reams. “CRES congratulates Chairman Richard Shelby, Chairman Lamar Alexander, Chairman Mike Simpson and conferees on their efforts to secure robust funding levels for the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E), the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) and other U.S. Department of Energy research and development programs in the FY2019 Energy and Water Appropriations Conference Report. CRES urges swift passage of the spending measure in the U.S. House and Senate, and the support of the Trump Administration to encourage commonsense, free market solutions and investments in these critical programs.”
