June 14, 2018 —Today, Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) formally endorsed Rep. Mark Amodei in his re-election bid for U.S. House in Nevada’s 2nd District.

“Rep. Mark Amodei has made focusing on commonsense, clean energy solutions that grow the economy, strengthen America’s national security, and preserve the quality of our natural environment a hallmark of his time in the House. Additionally, Rep. Amodei has demonstrated a commitment to promoting clean energy technology as a member of the House Clean Energy and Innovation Working Group. CRES is proud to formally endorse Rep. Amodei in his re-election bid for U.S. House in Nevada’s 2nd District,” CRES Managing Director Heather Reams said.

“I am proud to receive an endorsement from Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions. In Nevada, new sources of energy, such as geothermal and solar are critical to providing clean, reliable energy that drives economic growth, spurs local job creation, and preserves our climate. We have an abundant supply of natural resources in Nevada and across the country that we must use to meet our nation’s energy requirements. That is why I will continue to encourage policies that allow us to harness our own resources, develop new sources of energy, improve our permitting processes and create jobs here at home,” said Rep. Mark Amodei.

Rep. Amodei’s record on clean energy includes:

  • Helped to ensure that the FY18 budget included funding for Department of Energy’s most important research and development endeavors, such as the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E).
  • Demonstrated a commitment to promoting clean energy technology as a member of the House Clean Energy and Innovation Working Group.
